Dog Fur Technology
Inspiration doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it just hitches a ride on your pet.
After pulling burrs off his dog, Georges de Mestral obsessed over replicating those tiny hooks and loops. He spent eight years enduring ridicule from colleagues who thought he was wasting his time on "dog fur technology." The man was consumed with a problem no one asked him to solve—how nature sticks things together temporarily but securely.
Then, in 1941, he cracked it. And Velcro changed the world.
We're surrounded by invisible solutions to problems we forgot were problems. The zipper that doesn’t snag. The curve of a door handle billions of hands instinctively trust. The little plastic things that keeps your shoelace ends from fraying. None of it happened by accident. Someone asked the questions no one else thought to ask, and didn’t stop until the answer worked so well, we forgot it was ever a question.
That’s what we do at CINQ. We chase elegant, durable, "of course it works" answers to brand problems—especially the ones that feel impossible or invisible. Because great creative doesn’t just get noticed. It solves something.
The best solutions can hide in plain sight, but often they're just plain hiding. We’re the ones who find them. We want to solve problems so well that people forget they were ever problems.
